Digitise SA gives South African entrepreneurs information, templates and training at no cost. It is operated by Hodisa SA NPC, a registered South African non-profit company.
We put real effort into being accurate. We check tax thresholds, registration processes and legal timelines against SARS, CIPC and other primary sources rather than repeating what is widely believed, and we date anything that expires.
Even so, everything here is general information. It is not advice about your business, and we cannot know your circumstances.
We are not a funder or a lender. We do not provide money, loans, grants, guarantees or investment. We do not decide who gets funding, we have no influence over any funder's decision, and we cannot apply on your behalf. Where we explain a funding programme, we are describing it, not offering it.
We are not an accredited training provider. Our courses do not carry a formal qualification, and they are not SETA accredited. Our badges are a record of work you have completed on this platform and nothing more. Do not present them as a qualification.
We are not your lawyer, accountant, tax practitioner or financial adviser. Nothing here is legal, tax, financial, accounting or investment advice, and using this platform does not create a professional relationship between us.
We are not a government body. We are not CIPC, SARS, SEDA, SEFA or any department. We are not acting for them and we cannot act on their behalf.
We are not a recruitment or employment agency, and we do not place people in jobs.
Our templates are the part of this platform people rely on most, so read this part properly.
A template is a well-made starting point. It is not a document drafted for your situation, and downloading one is not the same as taking advice.
Before you rely on any template:
We cannot be responsible for a document you completed, changed, signed or relied on. Once you download a template, what you do with it is yours.
Some of what we publish is true on the day it is written and not a year later. Tax thresholds change. Registration processes change. Government programmes open, close and change their criteria.
Where a page carries information like that, we date it and we review it on a schedule. Our tax material is reviewed every February, after the Budget. Our compliance and tender material is reviewed annually.
Always confirm the current position at source before you act, particularly with SARS, CIPC, the Department of Small Business Development, and any funder whose criteria you are relying on. If something on our platform disagrees with the official source, the official source is right and we want to know about it.
Nothing on this platform is a promise about what will happen in your business.
We do not guarantee that you will get funding, win a tender, qualify for a programme, pass a compliance check, find customers, become profitable or succeed. Completing a course, earning a badge or using every template we publish does not change that.
Business outcomes depend on your market, your execution, your circumstances and a good deal of luck. We can improve your preparation. We cannot promise you a result.
We link to other websites, including government sites, funders and partner organisations. We do not control them, we do not check them continuously, and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability or how they handle your information.
A link is not an endorsement, and a mention is not a recommendation. Where we name a funder, a programme or a service provider, we are telling you it exists, not vouching for it.
Be careful out there. If a website, a person or a message asks you to pay a fee to access Digitise SA, to release funding, or to be matched with a mentor, it is not us and it is not legitimate. We charge entrepreneurs nothing, ever. Report it to info@digitisesa.co.za.
Some of our material is reviewed by a specialist in that field before it is published. Where that has happened, we name them on the page.
That credit means the specialist checked the material for accuracy at the time. It does not make them your adviser, it does not make them responsible for how you use the material, and it does not extend to anything you do afterwards.
Where material has not been reviewed by a specialist, we say so rather than leaving you to guess.
Where we open community features or a mentorship programme, anything another member or mentor says is their own view, not ours.
Mentors volunteer their time and share their own experience. They are not employed by us, they are not acting for us, and their guidance is not professional advice unless they are separately engaged by you in that capacity.

If you find something on this platform that is inaccurate, out of date or unclear, email info@digitisesa.co.za with the page and what you think is wrong. We check it against the source, fix it if it needs fixing, and update the review date.
This is not a courtesy line. It is how the platform stays trustworthy.
